A City of Ruins

This is an image of 2 Clem Images pasted together by Mike Lomax. It is very similar to what bombed out cities looked like after WW 2. Note the angular shapes. If you were going to live under the surface in a warren type habitat, this could be the appearance of the surface above the warren. We had a lot of fun speculating about this one. The many white spots are probably nothing more than recent micrometeorite strikes. It is almost as though the area was saturated by a swarm of meteors. The spots also looks like the street lights of a city. There are many strange features in these two Clem images. Both large and small, angular, organized, disrupted, the words flow easily. Farside City has seen better days.

Preliminary Analysis:

Farside City is an odd collection of old and new features that due to the resolution presents a challenge to interpretation. Because of its location on the far side it will be some time before better resolution images will be available. The rectilinear features are probably liquid ejecta from the impact at South Pole-Aitken.

An alternative explanation could be the Prune Hypothesis.
